Many people respond to it as a tranquil image, the artist says, and, yes, I was trying to create a peaceful mood. But what not many people know is that I was trying to do all this in an almost abstract context. If you look at the work closely, you'll see it is a study in triangles.† Sure enough, Gliding Swan consists of almost exclusively triangular shapes - from the swan's wake in the water to its very wings.
