I have many pleasant memories of seaside villages, both in Nova Scotia and the northeastern United States. When I recall their tree-lined streets, enhanced by gardens in almost every yard, I can easily imagine what it was like years before in an era when horse-drawn carriages were the norm and strollers could enjoy the beauty of a misty summer morning without the slightest concern. I enjoyed the challenge of realizing this misty scene and playing with the look of both natural and man-made light behind the inn’s windows. - PL
