After a rain shower, it’s time to take a stroll and enjoy the wonderful reflections that add to the alluring charm of cottages and their surroundings. There are different designs for cottages in England, and each village has its own style. Some are timber-framed and others are stone. Since the materials used are from the surrounding landscape, they blend together naturally. This honey-gold limestone cottage had an interesting profile, created by the arrangement and style of the chimney and its roof peak. Before automobiles were common, many homes were built very close to the thoroughfare, showing their best side to passers-by. Many of the gardens have tall hedges, fences, and stone walls for guarding against cold breezes. Beautiful roses climb up and over the doorways and along garden entryways.
