Pebble Beach Golf Links is the site of one of the longest running PGA Tour championships. The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am began as The Bing Crosby National Pro-Am in 1947 and has been held annually ever since, raising to date more than $66 million dollars for charity. Pebble Beach Golf Links has also hosted ten USGA Championships, beginning with the 1929 U.S. Amateur. In 1972, Pebble Beach Golf Links became the first public-access course to host a U.S. Open. In 2010, it will host the U.S. Open for a fifth time. Since 1972 no other course has hosted as many. - LH
