One of our favorite places to visit is the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center at Tavernier. It is a rehab center, but also a great place to view healthy waterfowl such as roseate spoonbills, pelicans, herons and the like.
It was there that I shot this Great Blue.
The entire facility is run on donations and they had just completed several major projects when Katrina hit them hard. They later rebuilt with the help of FEMA and additional donations. - AB
