Timber Jack Joe was born in 1911. A modern mountain man who still runs a trap line, he lives in Dubois, Wyoming, where his address is "Bear Hole 621." He is a colorful character who is usually the center of attention wherever he goes. Children flock around him. He attends many of the historical events which are staged every summer in Wyoming, such as Frontier Days in Cheyenne, the Green River Rendezvous in Pinedale and Stampede Days in Cody. He also participates in Indian pow-pows and dances with the Indians. - JB
