The Sioux usually had a chief, two subchiefs and two lesser ones under them. You could tell who was who by the headdress. The subchiefs did not have full headdresses. Instead, each wore a headcovering called a "wichasa."
The circles on this man's chest represent the sun's power to heal Sun Dance wounds. There are lightning bolts painted around his eyes, denoting his courage and fierceness. His war shield and its colors represent his vision. - JB

ABOUT EMAILING FOR PRICE:
1. Once an item is "sold out" and only available thru "secondary" or "resale" sources, pricing can vary day by day or hour by hour as resales occur. In such instances, the prices you see on our website may represent the last of those items sold as opposed to today's price. That is why we often tell you to "email" for pricing. And that is why prices often change without notice.
