Alan Brown - Parmly Hotel

Built in 1860, the Parmly Hotel was located on the square in Painesville, facing the town park. Back then, room rates began at $1.00.

The hotel was demolished in the 1970s to make room for a shopping and office complex known as New Market Mall.

You can spot the Parmly Hotel if you watch One Potato, Two Potato, an award-winning 1960s film shot in Painesville.

I created the giclée restoration of the Parmly from a small historic photo. - AB
